Hartswater Accommodation
The Palms Guest House welcomes guests by offering luxurious, private self catering accommodation in Hartswater from only R800 per night for one person, to R1000 for two persons. We request guests to make reservations 2-3 days in advance to prevent disappointment.
Our guest house is situated in the centre of the small town of Hartswater in the Northern Cape, 120 km North of Kimberley. The town is about 30 km from the World Heritage Site where the Taung Skull was found. There is also a lovely waterfall and the rare Thomeng Stalaghtites to see in the Taung area. The name of The Palms Guest House refers to the 7 different types of palm trees that grow in the lush gardens.
*We have a generator that supplies power during load shedding, as well as water tanks that supply water when the towns' water supply has been cut-off

We offer special rates to long term visitors. If you stay 14 days or longer, we offer a remarkable discount on the daily rate. The rate will be determined by the length of the stay, and the number of persons staying, variating between 30-40% discount on the normal daily rate. Terms and conditions apply.

Brief history of Hartswater, Northern Cape:
Hartswater is an agricultural town serving the northern section of the Vaalharts Irrigation Scheme in the Northern Cape province of South Africa. The town was laid out in 1948. There is a monument built in the shape of a miniature church dedicated to the women of Vaalharts for their contribution towards building and developing the Vaalharts irrigation scheme located in the town of Hartwater. The town has its own wine cellar and also a newly built olive processing business. Hartswater is centrally located to Jan Kempdorp, Pampierstad, Ganspan, Taung and Christiana.
